GRAVITY
An exhibition of digital prints.
Each gravity image is a universe that has been modelled in a computer. Each universe is populated with objects that fall into each other forming complex and unique oscillations. As objects move they leave trails creating a drawing.
Each image has taken between 24 and 48 hours 'processing' using a powerful computer to create.
“Many generative images look constructed. They have the look and feel of something generated by a computer program. Gravity is special. Gravity is something we all know and can intuitively recognise. Using gravity as part of my programs produces images with balance and poise.” Ian Upton.
Gravity was exhibited at The Gallery, Earlsdon, Coventry. July 2005.
Supported by a small arts bursary from Coventry University.
