INTERFACE
We live in a digital world. Or do we? Digital technologies slice our existence into discrete, numerical, states. Existence is prescribed in one 'state' or another. There is no in-between: only ON or OFF.
INTERFACE is a conversation between digital states. It seeks to explore the infinities between. A powered mobile, a manifestation of technology, is controlled by a simple switch . Using two states; ON or OFF, the performer controls and responds to produce an analogue symbiosis of movement.
INTERFACE. A collaboration between artists Sarah Goldingay and Ian Upton.
